Rymdreglage 8 bit trip

Did you ever notice how lego building blocks actually look a lot like early computer graphics? Well, the musical duo Rymdreglage noticed and decided to try and do something with the concept.

All in all, it’s a nice little video, a tidy little song, but the reason it became a Monalle is as always the story behind the story… Rymdrelage is just two Swedish guys, Tomas Redigh and Daniel Larsson who engineered, produced, and performed all the music seen in this video… Then, Tomas Redigh spent over 1500 hours over a six month period from December 2008 to late July 2009 assembling, dessembling, resembling, and photographing these amazing Lego creations in his barn!

What? yeah, that’s right, there is no fancy computer generated graphics (cgi) here, no big studio, no funding, just two guys, a barn, a very large bucket of legos, and an absolute abundance of patience and tenacity…

An absurd waste of time and energy? Well, after 7 months of hard work, their band has been viewed and heard by millions of people around the world… Practically overnight… From largely unknown to worldwide recognition, with no advertising budget, no big agents, no production company, just an idea, and some diliegence… Way to go guys!
